What a GREAT service we had on Feb. 6th, 2011. We celebrated our first

birthday. We wanted to record what happened on this special event. We always open with some delicious coffee. Then at 10AM we started our worship through music. Trey and his team really honored the and worshiped God. The music was so moving. Then Trey dismissed for our “Coffee break” and people went to the back and had some delicious cake that was

made in honor of this special event. After our “fellowship” time we came back and were greeted with a new exciting annoucement video done by Kirstyn Hendershot. She had some “fun” in the beginning that Trey wasn’t too happy about. After the video, Pastor Jess got up and shared some special announcments. We honored our Janitor (Sonja Turner) that shows up every week at 6:30PM to open the school with a $25 gift card to Applebee’s . Sonja is the best and always comes with a cheer in the morning. We are so glad that she has started coming to “life groups” as well. Pastor Jess then shared from his heart. He gave his wife (Charity) some beautiful pink roses to say “thank you” and “I love you” for everything that she has done for the Church. After the offering Kirstyn Hendershot read a beautiful letter written by Greg Reynolds our District Superintendent. It congratulated us on doing a wonderful job of reaching the “lost” this past year for Jesus and said how proud he was of Jess and Charity for doing a fine job in launching this new Church. Pastor Jess then got up and shared that he had received a text message from Christ Community Church saying that they had taken a special offering for Broadcast and had raised more than $600. Broadcast Church erupted in cheers for this wonderful gift that was given. Pastor Jess then led into his sermon. He preached from Joshua Chapter 6 and 7 on how “Sin” works in our lives. The only way that God can move with us and be with us is if we “consecrate” ourselves to him. He showed us how Achan’s sin worked in his life and how it works in ours. Trey & Lalo got up for the alter call and the Holy Spirit was moving. We had 3 people (stand up) and give their lives to Jesus. It was an incredible move of God. Trey finished the service with a song and then called Jess and Charity back to the front. The BC kids joined them up front and gave them a special gift. Pastor Jess was so moved that he asked the kids to give him a big hug. It was very special. This is what Jess had to say, “Charity and I had NO idea our congregation was going to do that. We were blown away by the love and kindness of BC. We received a clock that says “Get It, Learn it, Live it” and also a one night stay to the Founders INN Spa with a message package. We are so excited about what God is going to do in year 2.” After the hugs and tears and more pictures. Jess told everyone to go back to the BC tableand receive a gift from Broadcast to all of our guests and members. It was a BC Mug filled with gourmet chocolates. The parents loved the mugs, while the kids enjoyed their candy. It was a beautiful celebration and we know there are going to be many more to come! Let’s keep making a difference in our community and show them the love of Jesus Christ. God is going to do bigger and better things in this upcoming year. Thank you all who volunteer or who have volunteered at the incredible move of God. Because of your efforts we have seen 5 first time conversions to Jesus Christ and around 20 more rededicate their lives to Jesus Christ. We have had 2 get baptized with another baptism planned this spring. We have seen many individuals fall deeper in love with Jesus Christ.
