At Broadcast we believe in the power of prayer. We want to lift each other up and cover each other and this Church in prayer. If you have any prayer requests or praises, we wanted to provide you with a way to get your prayer request or praise heard. We are currently talking to Tallwood Elementary School in Virginia Beach about meeting in their facility! Please pray that God will show us favor with them. I also have been volunteering at the school and helping children that need help reading! It has been awesome to get to serve them, but they are looking for more volunteers in the classroom. Hey everyone. I have a close friend who needs some prayer. She is married with 1 1/2 kids. Her husband has told her he wants a separation. Their marriage started off with alot of baggage, but I know NOTHING is too hard for God. Please keep them in your prayers. 3 guys from Broadcast are headed to Atlanta for Catalyst, a pastoral leadership conference, over the next 3 days. Please pray with me they will be safe, refreshed, challenged, and inspired by the speakers and overall experience during their time there. I’m looking forward to great reports!

So …. random praise report! I had tried to avoid buying a book for one of my classes cuz it was really expensive, and I simply didnt have the money. However, I have a midterm tomorrow and this morning I came to the conclusion that the only way I was going to pass the test was to buy the book and study. Unfortunately, I just really didnt have the money. So I didnt know what I was going to do. Just about an hour later, I returned home from the gym and in the mail I got an envelope with just my name on it. No address … nothing. Inside the envelope was some money. Just about the exact amount the book was going to cost me! PRAISE GOD!! …. And if the person who dropped that off in my mailbox reads this … THANK YOU! You were a part of quite a miracle in my life.

My grandfather’s pacemaker stopped and there are no operating rooms available to perform the replacement operation. He is having a really hard time breathing because his heart beat cannot function regularly on its own. Pray one opens up quickly please.

I have been under the weather for almost a week now. I finally humbled myself and got some antibiotics. The Lord is always dealing with my pride for some reason! I am getting better, but would appreciate the prayers and we are trying to upgrade the website, buy equipment, and look for some office space. We are meeting with a relator about some office space tomorrow. Please pray that God will show us favor!

God has been so GREAT! I’m so thankful for my new friends like Lalo Hernandez and his family! He is a GREAT freind! I also want people to pray for our launch team. We are having an ice skating event and are hoping more people will volunteer to get involved!
We just got a key to our new office space! Praise God. Jess, Jason, Matt and Curtis have been there painting and cleaning to get it ready for use. Please pray we can find some furnishings at a low cost so we can save money to use in other areas of ministry.

My sister just had her baby boy today! The labor went great but keep baby Jace in your prayers as he was blue when he was born and is currently receiving extra oxygen. The docs say he is doing much better but has been hard on my sister bc she hasn’t been able to see him or feed him.

Praying to have a “margin mentality” and catering my schedule to the unexpected situations. I don’t want to be so caught up in a schedule that I’m deaf to the promptings of the Lord, who so many times works within the margins we create in our lives. Jesus, help me to be sensitive to the needs of others and faithful to love them well. Teach me significance comes from being with You and doing life with You not accomplishing a “to do” list by myself.
While vacuuming out my car today, I gave a few Broadcast cards to some 17/18ish year old girls I saw at the vacuum station at a local gas station and invited them to launch service on Feb 7. I almost hesitated until the thought came to my mind, “What IF, because I don’t offer this invitation, these girls would never have the opportunity to hear the Gospel?”
I’m reading a book called, “The Un-churched Next Door” and some of things I’m learning about how the un-churched think is blowing my mind. Although some of the un-churched interviewed said that having a Christian show up at their house without an invitation was one of the biggest turnoffs, people will not come to a church service/event/meeting without an invitation. We have to invite them.
Make the most of every opportunity. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and on others. Be bold as a lion, wise as a serpent and yet harmless/gentle as a dove. Don’t underestimate the power of an invitation! I would still be lost and without Christ today if someone hadn’t invited me to church. Let’s do this!!!
So excited about our upcoming service this week. I think it will challenge us and will also let people know what Broadcast Church is about! I have been keeping updated with Haiti through emails from World Hope International. A Wesleyan Missionary is still missing and I wanted to let others know to keep praying for them. Currently we have 106 full time missionaries in Haiti and we have not accounted for all of them yet. Please pray that we will be able to find them and establish contact. Pray for the people there as thousands now are left homeless. It is a horrible catastrophic event. Please keep the local missionaries in your prayers and they minister the gospel and meet the needs of the people.
Pray that the Lord would have His will done in the band and music. We have tons of ideas that could really accomplish the goal of that “Wow Factor”, but we need people to be committed and sacrifice in order to make that happen. A good work ethic, dedication, and a genuine heart to worship is far more valuable to a worship leader than the greatest musician in the world. Please pray the Lord would send the right people, and send them quickly.

Please pray for Pastor Nate Green ( Charlottesville , Cornerstone) as he fell at his home and has suffered three fractures (two of the skull) plus a broken elbow that may require surgery. He is a really good friend of mine and he pastors in our District.
Please pray for my family. There is alot of transition going on and alot of chaos within certain situations. I know I serve a powerful God who is in control of every situation. PLease pray that there will be a sense of peace and love and rest in who God is.
PRAISE GOD FOR THE VOLUNTEERS at Broadcast! This last Sunday went amazing! I am so thanksful for all the hard work everyone is putting in. I am blessed to serve along side just awesome men and women of God!
I have been inviting one of my friends to be apart of the BC team and on Sunday at our second preview service she and her family showed up! I have been praying that they would get involved and after talking to her after service she said that both she and her husband loved it and that they would be back next week! Praise God. I know we will have hundreds and hopefully thousands more stories like this in BC’s future!!
Keep Broadcast’s staff in prayer… the amount of work I’ve seen these guys put in over the past few weeks, not to mention months, has been pushing them to the slightly overwhelming stages by now with launch a week away, I’m sure. There’s a lot we don’t see that they do behind the scenes to pull this off….
Lord, I speak Your peace over each staff member at Broadcast, specifically Jess and Charity, Matt and Jason. I pray for Your living rain to fall upon them and for refreshment upon refreshment! May they each be filled with not only more knowledge, wisdom and understanding to pour into this body, but would they be REVIVED EVERY DAY to complete the tasks to which they’ve been called. Expand their time in unimaginable ways.
You know their needs before they ask them… but Lord I ask you to quickly, quickly, quickly bring wholehearted and committed laborers along side of them so they can delegate some of their work and lighten their load. Give them the right eyes– draw them to men of peace who will co-labor with them, and cause their paths to be connected with those seeking a church where they can utilize their gifts and serve the body of Christ.
And Father, remind them daily that time spent with You is time WELL spent. I pray Your Holy Spirit would minister to EACH ONE in the quiet places, that You would still and quiet them, and that they would enter into your presence every day, throughOUT the day as they complete their tasks. May their eyes and ears stay fixed on You, Jesus. Fill them afresh with Your love and peace. And may YOU be glorified in each one and the purpose of Broadcast Church. We love You and live to glorify You!
Jesus, would you help me to respond in the spirit instead of reacting in the flesh?
Christ, will you be glorified in everything we do not only at Broadcast but in our personal lives? Lord help us to continue to put our flesh to death daily as our bodies are physically and emotionally becoming tired. This is ALL for YOU! We SERVE others so that you might be glorified and exalted on your throne!

I want to praise God for being with everyday, but especially letting us feel his presence last night at prayer meeting. God is doing amazing things through Broadcast! I’m really praying that God will do some amazing things through out hostage series! God is so Good! I pray that people will be set free from sin and bondage’s in their life! Set us free from addictions and the sinful nature! Praying for the Holy Spirit to do some incredible things!
Come Lord Jesus, Come! My prayer is that through all Broadcast’s efforts in time and energy that the presence of God will FLOOD our sanctuary on Sunday mornings! That those who walk in our doors will not only feel loved and received but awakened in their dry heart that longs for more… I pray that hardened hearts who walk in our doors will be softened by the touch of the Father and that those whose eyes are blinded by the world would once and for all SEE! That they would be set free from the shadow of darkness and walk into the marvelous light! Holy Spirit, would You activate Your presence in our midst on Sunday mornings and throughout the week that we may be integris representators of Jesus! Let everything we say and do be pleasing to You… Fill us up so that we can pour out… ignite our hearts aflame with your fiery, compassionate and just love. Baptize us again! Cause our love for You to be contagious to others! May we be EXCELLENT stewards of those you bring to us to shepherd, and may we never fail to live and serve with a good attitude as we seek Your face and purposes yet to be established. Broadcast Family, please pray for a high school classmate of mine…Daniel Rudd. He has cancer which involves the side of his face and is having surgery tomorrow the 19th of February at home in Michigan. I don’t know a lot of details becuase I just found out from my family, but I know he is a strong Christian and I would love for us to lift him up at this time!!
You may remember me mentioning my cousin before… she’s a middle-aged Christian suffering from very severe ovarian cancer… please pray!!! (They actually only gave her 5 years to live, beFORE they recently found more cancer and upped her dosage.. and in the past few days they have upped the dosage AGAIN, so this is not good… but we choose to believe!)
Please pray for my Dad. He has been sick for a while and there are a lot of things going on. On Monday he is having a procedure done that will be biopsing his kidneys, which are only functioning at 30%. The doctors are trying to figure out why this is and whether or not he needs to be put on dialisis. This is a scary time for him and all of us. The procedure is fairly safe, although with the kidneys functioning so poorly and his heart, liver, etc. having issues, there are dangers. Please pray that his body does not react in a negative way and that this procedure will tell the doctors what is going on and how to stop the deteriation of the kidneys. (and his body for that matter) The last thing we want is for him to be on dialisis.
