This video is saddening but so true of many young people, whether they grew up in the Church or not. We as Christians have done a poor job showing people it is about a relationship with God and nothing else. And that is why I am so excited about Broadcast Church, because we are gonna “LIVE IT” and show those that you can have a personal relationship with Christ.
People are looking for authenticity. People can smell a “fake”. I think these people were very honest. Most young people have gone to Church with a relative or friend, but the problem is that it hasn’t become real to them! They don’t see a difference in the way so called “Christians” are living their lives, so why do they need Jesus. We as believers have to start living like we have really had an encounter with the all powerful God, otherwise others won’t want we have. If you arn’t living like that, then I challenge you to look at yourself and ask if you really have had a face to face encounter with God, because you can’t gaze upon the face of God and not be changed or moved!
Pastor Jess, this video is saddening, as Charity stated, but it is also very enlightening to the need for the church to become more genuine in its approach towrad people with the gospel. I think there is tremendous opportunity to reach the disconnected with a life changing message, but the church must first find itself. Because the sad reality is that maybe the church is what’s lost its way. People want to follow someone genuine. JC is genuine His church must be as well. Cool Vid!
