I was privileged this last week to attend Thr3e, a conference hosted by Elevation Church of Charlotte, North Carolina.  Steven Furtick, the lead pastor, shared what has been happening at Elevation in just their first 3 years of existence.  Outreach magazine has them listed as the 2^nd fastest growing Church in America right now.  Steven challenged me to give it my all and step out, so God can step in and do something amazing.  Steven quoted from a saying and I think that I’ll never forget it.  “The difference between where you are and where God wants you to be is the pain your willing to endure.”  He referenced the Bible where Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane in Matthew Chapter 26.  The word “Gethsemane” means olive press.  We will never know what God has in store for us, if we are not willing to be pressed, just like Jesus was in the Garden the night he was betrayed and handed over to the Romans to be a ransom for our sins.  I’m sure you will be hearing a sermon on this passage in the future.  I will never look at this passage of scripture the same way!

            I was honored to have Steven pray over me and pray about this new Church that God has breathed on my heart!  God spoke something into nothing when he put this vision of Broadcast Church on my heart. I want to be a broken vessel that God uses to do something great.  I want people to know it’s not by my might, but because God is doing something great through me. 

            I was so honored to attend this event and am looking forward to what God is going to do at Broadcast Church.  “Lord give me a spirit of audacity and let me live my faith out for all to see.”
