At Broadcast Church, kids get the best we’ve got. NEXTGEN is our children’s ministry in Chesapeake, VA, serving families every Sunday at 10 AM with safe, fun, age-appropriate environments where kids from the nursery through 5th grade learn who Jesus is on a level they can understand.
We don’t believe children’s ministry is childcare while the adults do the “real” church. Your kids’ spiritual foundation is being poured right now, and we take that seriously. Every classroom, every lesson, and every volunteer is focused on one goal: helping the next generation get it, learn it, and live it.
We know the first question every parent asks: is it safe? Yes. Every child is checked in and matched to a parent or guardian at pickup, rooms are geared to each developmental stage, and our NEXTGEN team serves kids with the love and grace of Jesus as the example.
From crawlers in Lil’ Sparks to preschoolers in Sparks to elementary kids in Amped, every environment is designed around how children grow and learn. Our elementary students experience engaging worship, new Bible lessons weekly, small group breakouts, and creative activities built on the trusted ORANGE curriculum used by thousands of churches nationwide.
Our youngest kids learn three simple, life-shaping truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. As they grow, Amped students build on that foundation, learning to make wiser choices, build stronger relationships, and develop a deeper faith they can carry into middle school and beyond.
Visiting a new church with children can feel like a lot. Here’s how to make it easy: arrive about 15 minutes before our 10 AM service, and our team will walk you through check-in, show you each classroom, and answer any questions. Your kids will be welcomed by name, and you’ll be seated in the service knowing exactly where they are and that they’re in great hands.
